Carpainter is a Tokyo-based DJ/producer who co-runs the beloved Trekkie Trax label (as well as Trekkie Trax Radio on Japan’s largest dance music station, Block.fm). His remix work
has graced labels like LuckyMe and Moveltraxx, and after his slammin’ remix for Chants on Maximum Airtime, we had to get him for a full EP.
He’s turned in an absolute corker: four tracks of chuggy techno that channel turn-of-the-century Detroit Techno, classic 16-bit video game music, and ’90s icons like Dave Angel and Ken Ishii.
